Kuantan to Kajang to Ampang to Kuantan.

Last weekend, we went to my sister's house in Kajang to take my mother home to stay with us. It's been quite a while since she last stayed with us.
We stayed in Kajang for the night. Ina cooked Siakap masak merah that night. Everyone enjoyed their dinner.

The next day, on our way back home, we stopped at my brother's house in Ampang. My sister in law, Hawa recently gave birth to a baby boy. A new addition to the Jaafar clan. His name is Muhammad Mirza.
We stayed there for a few hours. We had something to eat then we're on our way back to Kuantan..

How Time Flies...

You know...I used to read or hear about how time flies. About how parents lost all sense of time...doing their things...and suddenly they find their kids growing up without them realizing it. Well guess what...that's exactly what I felt the other day.
I was standing outside the house, watching the kids play. I didn't see Hanim anywhere so I looked around. Then I saw her speeding in front of me on a bicycle. The thing is...she used to ride a bike with two small tires attached to the side. But she has clearly been able to balance her body riding the bicycle. I was surprised...
I asked Ina about it and Ina said that Hanim has been doing that since last week. I was speechless...and I realized that due to my work and other things, I lost the chance to see my daughter's first ride....
Oh...let me say this like the other parents...HOW TIME FLIES....

Neighbours To School

I'm about to send Hanim to school this morning. Then Dania, my neighbour's daughter, said hello. Hanim and her are good friends. They played together a lot. Hanim is a year older than her but still they are the best of friends.
I took this pic of the two in their school uniform before sending Hanim to school.

"Boleh Harap Dah Anak Kita Ni..."

We had dinner. Ina deliciously cooked 'masak lemak nangka' and 'ikan bakar cicah asam'. Mmmm...delicious.
After dinner, Ina mentioned that Hanim is washing the dishes. My daughter has grown up thru the years.
Just like Ina said..."Boleh harap dah anak kita ni...".
True...true...so true...

Our Home...

This morning, Hanim asked me for a piece of paper. Then Ina gave her a new set of colouring pencils. After that, she went into her room and we went about doing our things.
In the afternoon, she showed a picture she drew..
"This is our home" she said. I looked at the lovely drawing and decided to stick it on our fridge.
Lovely girl...lovely view...lovely drawing...

Playing In Kuantan Parade.

We went to Kuantan Parade the other day to buy some stuff. Hanim saw this playground. She and Alyssa got to play there for a half an hour. I stand watch while Ina and Adik went to buy things needed.
I think the two sisters had a great time playing. They run, jump and hop around laughing. I love seeing their happy faces....
